Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish model and actor from 11 November 1996. Alison Doody made her film debut as a Bond actress on the set of A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she appeared as a character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. She played Nazi sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Doovan portrayed Charlotte on Taffin in 1988. Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Approached by a photographer Doody began to model, which turned into a career in commercial modelling. Doody was very strict about not doing the glamorous work or doing nude. The rule was extended to her acting career. When she was spotted by the director of casting for a James Bond movie, she took a part in A View to a Kill in the role of Jenny Flex. Doody was named as one the twelve most promising young actors in the year 1986 by John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody was just turning age 18 at the time she was cast in the role of Bond girl. She is still the youngest Bondgirl to date. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke in 1987, was another early film where Doody played IRA Siobhan. Doody played Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 adaptation of The Secret Garden. She played Lilias. In a Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, Doody played Sapsorrow alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She first appeared in the movie Taffin with Pierce Brosnan. Next, she played the role of Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist, Nazi-sympathizer, and antagonist to Harrison Ford. Doody was in the film with Sean Connery in the film, as Indy's dad. Doody was in the British series Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. It was based on The Hitler Diaries publication scam. Following her move to Hollywood Doody made her an international star. She was Flannery Charlie Sheen's agent, as well as partner for Major League II. She was chosen to be the replacement for Cybill Shepherd, who was once L'Oreal's spokeswoman. Doody's return to the big screen came in 2003, when Michael Caine played Doody in a short role. Doody's roles included an appearance in a TV movie version of King Solomon's Mines in 2004 and a book about the Holocaust, and the short film Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody made an appearance in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. Doody appeared on RTE's medical drama The Clinic. The project was eventually canceled. The actress began her two seasons of the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she appeared on We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). The film was awarded the Almeria tierra de cinema award on November 21, 2018.
